History
We are solely a small private family owned business. We have a long history rich in the business of promoting the equine. My grandfather LL Mallet raised Saddlebreds in the 1930’s and champion Shetland ponies in the 1940’s -1960’s. The LL Mallet Farm promoted the famous Shetland pony stallion Crescent Gold Dust. Crescent Gold Dust was one of LL Farms’ foundation stallions and can be found in many pedigrees of today’s top Shetland show ponies.
Farm owner Shelley Schubert MSN RN PHN is the blood stock agent, for L.L. Farm. Shelley has over 43 years of experience in the horse industry. She has a keen eye for quality and conformation plus a fine grasp of knowledge about pedigrees. Our Stallion Kasual Kris was retired in 2004. Currently our mares are being bred to outside stallions. Our breeding program’s primary focus is to breed thoroughbreds with male top lines that are Phalaris free. We feel that the industry has saturated the gene pool with Phalaris stallions. Shelley oversees all the day-to-day management of our Thoroughbred horses.
